LCA PTF Meeting Recap | September 14, 2026
THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our first PTF meeting of the year! We had a wonderful turnout and lots of great ideas for building connection, supporting our teachers and students, and making this a fun year for our LCA families.
WE DECIDED:
Grandparents Day is coming October 9!
Planning is well underway, with parent leads already stepping into food, setup, hospitality, photography, decor, parking and more. Invitations and RSVP information will be coming out this week, followed by specific volunteer opportunities.
We’ll also be offering an Adopt-a-Grandparent option so students whose grandparents or special guests cannot attend can still fully participate in the day.
Pizza Lunch is coming back!
We are working toward a September 29 start date, with a parent team helping us test a simple weekly pizza lunch fundraiser. More details and ordering information will be coming soon.
Restaurant Family Nights are a hit!
Parents are reaching out to several local restaurants so we can create more opportunities to gather as an LCA community while also supporting the school.
Our next PTF meeting will be Wednesday, October 14 at 4:30 PM.
We heard the feedback that 4:00 PM was difficult for working parents, so we’re trying a slightly later time next month.
A FEW THINGS COMING UP:
NEST: We still have 13 NESTEEs waiting to be adopted! If you’ve been considering participating, this is a wonderful way to encourage and build a relationship with an LCA staff member throughout the year.
Spirit Wear: New LCA spirit shirts are in the works! We’re planning a yellow LCA shirt that students can wear with jeans on Fridays, with adult sizes available too. More information is coming.
See’s Candy: Our annual See’s fundraiser begins October 15, with orders due November 18.
Kids Night Out: Our next Kids Night Out is October 16.
Spirit Week: Class Reps will be reaching out soon to gather your favorite Spirit Week ideas. We want parent and student input before this year’s days are finalized.

You do not have to attend every PTF meeting to be part of PTF. There will be lots of ways to help - from an hour at an event to making a restaurant phone call, picking up food, helping with setup, or joining a parent team.
Right now, we especially have opportunities around Grandparents Day, 12 Bridges, NEST, restaurant nights, pizza lunch and upcoming events.
